Even though you may be stuck at home, you can still work towards perfecting your next film! Why not plan it out in a way that is fun, engaging, and allows you to flex your creative muscles? The Department of Radio-Television-Film is excited to offer RTF students, faculty, and staff this free, one-day masterclass on virtual filmmaking—taught by Assistant Professor of Practice, Deepak Chetty.
Chetty will demonstrate how to transfer your physical filmmaking knowledge into the virtual production arena using Unreal Engine. He will cover the basics of this newly democratized creative tool that can allow you to simulate real-world shooting environments and render in high fidelity the settings of actual cameras, lenses, and lights. He will also offer a breakdown of his latest project, a short film created solely using virtual production techniques.
The masterclass will take place in three parts with breaks, on Thu, May 21, from 10 am and 2:30 pm Central Time.
