Film submissions for NFFTY 2020 are now open!
Any educators submitting three or more films on behalf of their students can receive a unique code for 20% off of the submission fee.

The film’s director(s) must have been 24 years old or younger at time of filming.All music and other copyrighted material used in films must be properly licensed. See our Resource Guide.
All films must be in English or subtitled in English.
All films (national and international) may be submitted into only one category:
Short – any narrative film under 40 minutes in length.
Documentary – documentary under 40 minutes in length.
Music Video – music video under 40 minutes in length.
Animation – any form of animation, under 40 minutes in length.
Experimental – any film under 40 minutes that does not fit the mold of typical filmmaking.
Note: public service announcements, commercials, and film trailers are not eligible for consideration in any category.
