Temporary Internship Position at the Austin/Travis County Sobriety Center
December 3, 2019
The Austin/Travis County Sobriety Center is seeking a Radio-Television-Film student intern who is willing to film, produce, and edit a short film about the process for law enforcement officers to bring publicly intoxicated individuals to the Sobering Center. This video will be shared with law enforcement agencies across Central Texas. This is an unpaid temporary internship position.
Filming will take place at the Austin/Travis County Sobering Center beginning December 19, 2019 and lasting until January 17, 2019. The video will be completed according to organization standards by January 24, 2019. Hours of work will range conditionally between 5-10 hours a week but will not exceed 15 hours. We will work with the student’s schedule as the hours will depend on where we are in the video production process.
Assist in video production strategy
Direct and produce video using their own equipment including but not limited to, microphone, lighting, video camera, and editing software.
Format final video for publication via platforms including Vimeo, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn.
Scheduling flexibility to accommodate projects and departmental objectives.
Proficient operating skills and ability to perform under strict timelines with little supervision
Completed 45 college credit hours by the end of the Fall 2019 semester
Video production experience
Quality verbal communication (small and large group settings) and written communication (web, email, letters)
Attention to detail; taking direction and constructive criticism
This position requires the demonstrated ability to:
Manage multiple, competing priorities;
Work independently and collaborate with team members;
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of individuals and groups;
Balance of a professional attitude while having fun
Creatively expressing ideas
