In this special preview, aGLIFF will showcase three early episodes and an extended in person conversation with Thomas at the Alamo Drafthouse South Lamar. “Everything’s Gonna Be Okay” is a half-hour comedy series that introduces Nicholas (Josh Thomas), neurotic and gay, who extends his trip home after his father’s untimely death. Unprepared to be the head of the household, the twenty-something Nicholas must rise to the occasion to help his teenage half-sisters (Kayla Cromer and Maeve Press), one of whom is on the autism spectrum, cope with the devastating loss. Navigating autism, budding sexuality, consent, parenthood, adolescence, family and grief, the heartfelt comedy will follow this imperfect family as they discover the importance of finding happiness in the middle of really difficult moments, one awkward conversation at a time. The series also stars Adam Faison as Alex, a romantic interest of Nicholas’ introduced in the first episode. “Everything’s Gonna Be Okay” premieres THURSDAY, JANUARY 16 on Freeform.
