All Voice Film Festival Call For Submission (Amazon Partnership)
April 15, 2019
Amazon Prime Video, in partnership with Amazon studios and IMDb, is pleased to announce the launch of the All Voices Film Festival. The All Voice Film Festival is a short-film competition bringing together creators and celebrating stories that reflect underrepresented communities, abilities, and backgrounds. The competition, which is open for submissions to U.S. residents until May 20th, will require filmmakers to produce, shoot, and submit a short film up to forty minutes in length.
To be eligible for the festival, submissions must be created by and/or feature people from an underrepresented community or subject matter. Full film festival rules available here. Underrepresented communities include people of color, ethnic, gender and religious minorities, members of the LGBTQI community, people with disabilities, veterans, young, aspiring filmmakers as well as older adults, and other groups that are underrepresented or marginalized.
Submissions will be uploaded to Prime Video via the Prime Video Direct self-publishing service, where they will be available for Prime customers in the U.S. to screen and review. Following this, top performing shorts, based on customer engagement, will be judged by a panel of industry leaders including the Co-Head of Movies at Amazon Studios, Julie Rapaport, Head of Diversity at Amazon Studios Latasha Gillespie, and Founder and CEO of IMDb Col Needham.
The winning creator will receive $25,000, and the opportunity to visit and tour Amazon Studios in Culver City, CA. Four other finalists will be awarded $10,000 each. The five winning short films will receive a marketing package and featured on Prime Video.
