Borderlanders is a documentary film following a motorcycle ride along the Texas/Mexico border taken by one white, middle class American woman, who wants to experience border life for herself. Meet borderlanders sharing views of what life is like along the border: Mexican fishermen straddling the Rio Grande at Boca Chica Beach; visual artists in "The Valley" interpreting the border wall; a canoe ride fiasco in Laredo; a roadside pecan stand in the shadow of the cartel in Quemado; a sickening plane ride over Big Bend; a hidden footbridge to Mexico near Candelaria; and, kids playing at the wall in Juarez. The film features original music by Austin based musician and filmmaker, Aimee Bobruk, inspired by her ride along the border.
