Climate Change Film Competition
September 28, 2018
In case you missed my last email, I wanted to remind you about the Witnessing Change Video Competition, which invites filmmakers to submit short videos on climate impacts in their communities. The competition aims to create new and powerful narrative and American climate change storytelling. The winner will receive $1,000, and two runner-up prizes of $250 each. The competition will be judged by award-winning environmental filmmakers whose bios can be seen here.
The entry deadline is November 15, 2018 and the winners will be announced December 15th, 2018.
Through a collaboration with StormCenter Communications and the Glen Gerberg Weather and Climate Summit, the Climate Cost Project will also work to bring the best videos from the competition to local television stations around the country.
The competition is a good opportunity for young filmmakers. We were wondering if you would be able to share the announcement with your students at UT-Austin. Again, you can see the competition announcement here: www.climatecostproject.org/wcvc. Thank you so much for your time. Please let me know if you have any questions.
