Call for entries - Mobile Film Festival - 1-minute films, "Stand up for human rights" - 10/11 deadline
September 19, 2018
Mobile Film Festival is an international online festival presenting short films of 1 minute maximum, made with a mobile phone or a tablet device.
Deadline: October 11.
This 14th edition is a special edition in partnership with the UN, YouTube Creators for Change and the European Union as part of the celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
So we are back with the usual rules « 1 mobile, 1minute, 1 film », but now imposing a theme: « Stand Up For Human Rights », the official slogan of the UN campaign.
The festival aims to discover and support new talents, notably thanks to:
3 x $23,000 grants offered by YouTube Creators for Change and the European Union to make a short film in a year with professional means and the help of a producer
2 x $3500 grants of screenwriting assistance offered by the CNC (French National Film Center)
The festival is online, free and is a very nice stepping stone for young talents who wish to evolve in the film industry: last year, the festival generated 17,000,000 views in 1 month, and the films selected will be shown to a public composed of producers, artistic agents and short film professionals.
