Seeking Fiege Films Fall Interns
July 11, 2018
Fiege Films Fall Interns
Fiege Films seeks interns to assist with pre-production, production, post-production, and marketing of film and other media projects. During fall 2018, we will be in
production on two projects. The first is a nonfiction feature about the arts and environmental justice on the Texas and Louisiana Gulf Coast called In the Air. The second is a photography, art, and film project about young voters and activists in Texas.
Intern assignments for the fall may include film and photography production, editing, assistant
editing, and research. This fall, we will also be mounting a gallery show for the voting project in the lead-up to the midterm elections. In addition to work on our film projects, interns
occasionally have opportunities to work as assistant editors, sound recordists, and PAs on various other projects. We have hired many of our former interns for freelance work as camera assistants, assistant editors, editors, PAs, and associate producers.
John Fiege is an Austin-based filmmaker who lectures in the film school at the University of
Texas at Austin. His last feature documentary, Above All Else, premiered at SXSW and Hot
Docs in 2014 and was distributed on Netflix, iTunes, and many other platforms.
