Who we are
The Chicago International Children's Film Festival is the first Academy® qualifying children’s film festival in the world and our Best Animated and Best Live Action Short Film categories are Oscar® qualifying.
We seek films that both entertain audiences and challenge them to widen their perspectives. But more importantly, we seek out films that are made for kids, not simply about them.
