Showtime's Tony Cox Television Pilot Screenwriting Competition
February 1, 2016
My name is Caroline Rugo and I am a programming intern for the Nantucket Film Festival this spring. The Nantucket Film Festival aims to promote the cultural awareness and appreciation of the art of screenwriting in the world of cinema. Each year we host a screenwriting competition in both film and television, aimed to recognize and celebrate up and coming writers.
I am writing on behalf of the festival to inquire about submissions for 30-minute or 60-minute TV pilot scripts as a part of the Showtime's Tony Cox Television Pilot Screenwriting Competition. Because this particular section of the screenwriting competition is relatively new, we are looking to put the word out in as many applicable venues as possible, and we feel that you may be a perfect fit!
Winners in both categories receive:
$1,000 cash prize from Nantucket Film Festival
VIP week-long pass to Nantucket Film Festival
Private, one-on-one consultation with Showtime Executive
Attend Showtime-sponsored reception during the festival
Participation in Mentors Brunch with prominent screenwriter during festival
Custom leather-bound copy of the winner’s script, courtesy of Showtime
Name inclusion on Festival catalogue and website as Competition winner
Print and media coverage
