Female Documentary Filmmaker Grants
August 31, 2016
The Center for Investigative Reporting is now accepting applications for two fantastic new opportunities for women in film, as part of a larger program aimed at promoting gender parity in documentary filmmaking and investigative journalism. I'm thinking that a number of your female graduates would be excited to apply.
The first program is a filmmakers-in-residence program for early-career female filmmakers. It's a paid position of $50,000 + benefits for a ten month period, plus resources and funding to help the selected filmmakers complete their projects. See: https://goo.gl/Te67jQ
The second invites established women filmmakers to participate in creating a documentary series for distribution in the fall of 2017. Filmmakers will receive a grant of up to $95,000 to complete their work. See: https://goo.gl/GSO6vi
